NEWS RELEASE – Krešimir P. Mustapić Joins Board of Directors and Wanita Kelava Engaged as New Manager of the Canadian-Croatian Chamber of Commerce
TORONTO (July 24, 2012) – The Canadian-Croatian Chamber of Commerce (“Chamber”) is pleased to announce the addition of Krešimir P. Mustapić as the newest member to join its Board of Directors. Krešimir joins the Board with an extensive and accomplished professional career as well as his integral involvement and contribution to our Croatian culture and community.
Born in Split, Croatia, Krešimir graduated from the University of Zagreb from the Faculty for Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering Department. He moved to Canada in 1987 and is now the principal of Kremisco Engineering Inc. Krešimir is also called upon as an expert witness and translator for the Ontario Superior Courts of Justice and is currently the Vice President of AMCA Toronto. He is both, a former member of the Croatian Canadian Choir “Koledo”, as well as a former competitive water polo player with Jadran Split. Amongst other achievements, Krešimir is recognized for his contribution to the improvements of the building of the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Ottawa.
In addition, the Chamber is pleased to announce that Wanita Kelava has been engaged as its new Manager.
Born in Osijek, Croatia, Wanita immigrated to Vancouver as a young child. Growing up in Vancouver, she was involved in the Croatian community through Croatian folklore dance. Later, as a teenager she moved to Mississauga with her family where she continued to be involved through Croatian folklore. Today, in addition to her professional career, she is also a member of the Board of Directors (and Treasurer) of the Croatian Parish Folklore Group “Sljeme”.
The Board of Directors of the Chamber would like to thank its outgoing Manager, Anita Vuković Madzarević, for her dedication and contributions to the Chamber. Anita will be pursuing other ventures and we wish her all the best in her endeavors.
