The Catholic University of Croatia was established on 3 June, 2006, by decree Luca vera illuminata (Illuminated by true light), signed by the Archbishop Cardinal, Josip Bozanic, in the name of it’s founder, the Archdiocese of Zagreb. There are approximately 430 students studying in three departments: Department of History; Department of Psychology; and Department of Sociology. The University currently employs 47 teachers and 22 administrative staff. The University of Croatia promotes the protection and development of human dignity, and contributes to the strengthening of Catholic and Croatian national identity.
