Movie Screening in Support of Vukovar

“GLAVU DOLE RUKE NA LEĐA”
(HEADS DOWN, HANDS BEHIND YOUR BACK)
269 Days in a Concentration Camp, 7000 People, 1 Story
Directed, written and produced by Stipe Majić Pipe (2018)

On Monday, November 18, 2019, the citizens of Vukovar will commemorate the 28th anniversary of its town’s fall into the hands of the Yugoslav National Army and Serbian paramilitaries. During this time, it has been noted that almost nothing has been done to solve the most horrific crimes that were committed in Vukovar during the 1991-95 Croatian War of Independence.

On this day, we invite Croats from Toronto, Mississauga, Oakville, Burlington, Hamilton, Kitchener and surrounding areas to join us for a screening of “Glave Dole, Ruke Na Leđa” to show support for action and results and to let the people of Vukovar know that they have not been forgotten.

“Glave Dole, Ruke Na Leđa” depicts what happened in Vukovar and portrays moments of capture, detention, and mistreatment of Croatian veterans and civilians in concentration camps.

This film is in Croatian with no English subtitles and is recommended for ages 16 and up.
Entrance is free of charge, however, donations are welcome in support of producing a new film about Major General Blago Zadro.
