Const. John Zivcic Remembered For Life Of Service And Kindness

Thousands of police from across the country saluted the body of fallen officer Const. John Zivcic, whose funeral was held in Toronto on Monday.

As their son and brother clung to life in hospital, Const. John Zivcic’s family learned just how important his service had been.

After the chief of police, his senior commander and political dignitaries praised the 34-year-old officer’s more than six years on the force at a funeral in Etobicoke on Monday, his brother Tom Zivcic told a story few had heard before.
