The Speaker of the Croatian Parliament, Gordan Jandroković, along with a delegation of Croatian Parliamentarians, visited Canada in an official capacity from October 16-21, 2017 – with stops in Ottawa (October 16-19, 2017) and in Toronto and surrounding areas (October 19-21, 2017).
They were the first foreign dignitaries to visit newly minted Governor General Julie Payette at Rideau Hall in Ottawa.
Speaker Jandroković and the delegation then travelled to Toronto and met with some members and friends of the Canadian-Croatian Chamber of Commerce – to participate in a round table discussion relating to Croatia and Croats living abroad.
The last visit by the Speaker of Croatian Parliament to Canada was in June 2009.

The delegation from the Croatian Parliament also included: Sanja Putica (HDZ), Member of the Croatian Parliament; Ante Babic (HDZ), Member of the Parliamentary Group of Friendship Croatia-Canada; and Domagoj Hajduković (SDP), Member of the Parliamentary Group of Friendship Croatia-Canada.
