The conference brought together Croatian professionals, academics, students, and community organizers from across the United States, Canada, France, Germany, Scotland, Australia and Croatia.
In attendance representing the Canadian-Croatian Chamber of Commerce from Toronto were Wanita Plastich Kelava and Ivan Grbešić. Ivan Grbešić, also the President for the Advisory Council for Croats Abroad for the Republic of Croatia, delivered a powerful keynote speech at the Gala Awards Dinner, challenging all of us, as individuals, community members and organizations, to work together and define a long term strategy for the Croatian Diaspora and to become a partner that would be truly respected and welcomed by Croatia.
