April 9th, 2017 will mark the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge, the most important Canadian battle in history. Canadaβs largest and most significant war memorial is in Vimy. The almost 6,000 tonnes of limestone used to construct it is from the Trogir area in Croatia.
