The Mayflower Project – A Student Exchange Between Canada and Croatia

The Croatian Student Association, mostly known as HSA (cro. Hrvatska studentska asocijacija), has been dedicated to the professional development of students for almost thirty years. Founded in 1992, HSA currently has 100 members, and their years long work has been awarded with 16 Dean’s Awards and 5 Rector’s Awards. Their goal is to connect their members with the academic and business community and give them the opportunity to develop knowledge and skills necessary for career and personal growth. Although knowledge gained at university is very important, they believe in „more than studying“ and by the means of encouraging teamwork, togetherness, professionalism, innovation and aspiration for quality, they strive to bring students closer to achieving their set goals and making a positive influence on the community that surrounds them.

The Mayflower project is the Croatian Student Association’s youngest initiative that will be held in May of 2023 in cooperation with John Molson School of Business, Montreal. The project will gather 20 participants, students from Canada and Croatia, who will first stay in Croatia and then in Canada for ten days. During their respective stays students will exchange experiences and participate in activities of cultural and intellectual exchange.
