The webinar will be hosted by John Gašparac\, Managing Partner at PwC Croatia. \nThe European Union plans to give extensive funds to Central and Eastern European countries as part of the EU’s Next generation fund. According to Fitch\, Central and Eastern Europe will stand out economically in 2022. The Next Generation EU fund is estimated to give the region a weighted average of 3.8 % and 5.5% real GDP growth in 2021 and 2022\, respectively. \nTo find out more about the EU recovery plan click here. \nCroatia will be the biggest net recipient per capita in 2021. DESCRIPTION:This year’s European Union Film Festival will be virtual! \nThe Cinematheque\, in partnership with festival presenters in Ottawa and Toronto\, has moved the 2020 edition of the EUFF online! \nFrom November 13 to 29\, join in (virtually) for the first-ever Canada-wide European Union Film Festival\, featuring 27 recent films from 27 EU member states. Each film will be “live” online for a 48-hour period; some will be supplemented with exclusive filmmaker interviews and introductions. All films will be presented in their original languages\, with English (and\, in some cases\, French) subtitles available. \nCroatia’s EUFF entry\, Comic Sans\, will be available to stream Nov 29–30. By turns comic and poignant\, Comic Sans is an insightful\, decidedly offbeat dramedy about one man’s slow recognition of his life’s problems\, his own flawed character\, and his possible paths to a new beginning.
